The company was founded by Dr.-Ing. Armin Knoblauch in 1986 as AK Industrieinformatik GmbH. The head office of AKI GmbH is in Würzburg. The company has been owner-operated since its foundation. Additional development branch offices are located in Dresden (since 2003) and Berlin (since 2008).

The core product today is PrinTaurus - our proprietary print management solution. A manufacturer and platform-neutral, unique software portfolio has come into being with the help of licence products.

Certified engineer Martin Kellner has been the managing director of AKI GmbH since July 2009. Founder and associate partner Dr. Armin Knoblauch is today chairman of the advisory board.

Our customers come mainly from the German-speaking countries, although other customers from Europe, America and Africa also value the merits and quality consulting of our highly specialised company.
